Stephanie Wright is an accomplished public leader and Senior Vice President of Federal Relations. The former City and County Councilmember has been lauded for her level-headed strategic approach to critical public interest issues including transportation and land use, environmental policy, and public health. Clients rely on Stephanie to help them tackle complex issues and build support to execute their mission-critical projects.

Stephanie joined S360 following her service to Washington’s Snohomish County as Executive Policy Officer. In this role, she developed and implemented important policy goals including the Snohomish Health District integration, transportation, planning, environmental and other regionally important issues. Her work included significant outreach and relationship management with regional organizations, Cities, Tribes, and other county partners. Stephanie also maintained a powerful voice of leadership with the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC). Here she has served in multiple roles in over a decade, including as President wherein she advocated for all 39 counties in conversations with state and federal lawmakers.

Stephanie has a long and accomplished career as an elected public servant. Prior to joining the Snohomish County’s Executive Office, she was the longest-standing member of the Snohomish County Council, serving for 12 years. She was unanimously appointed to her role by the then-County Council to fill a resignation before being elected with wide majorities for two more terms. In her tenure, Stephanie negotiated with The Boeing Co to build its 777x passenger jet in Everett, lead the county’s Health District as Chair through the tragic Oso mudslide and then the COVID pandemic, serving as the WSAC president, advancing significant land and open space purchases, promoting community transit and bus rapid transit lines in her district.

As a public leader, Stephanie also served on multiple committees and boards representing transportation, environmental, economic, legislative, veteran and military affairs, among other public interests. In particular, she was a representative with the National Association of Counties where she served as the Chair of the International Economic Development Task Force, Board Member for the Western Interstate Region, and Committee Member for the Large Urban Counties Caucus, Veterans Affairs and Arts and Culture committees.

Before her time at the County, Stephanie sat on the Lynnwood City Council, where she served as Council Vice President, held a seat on the Finance and Insurance Committee, served as a council liaison to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts and served as Vice President of the Transportation Benefit District. Before entering the world of politics, she worked as a Teacher-Librarian for the Northshore School District.

Born in Everett, WA, Stephanie is a life-long resident of Snohomish County, where she continues to contribute to the public good as a member of the SWISS (Snohomish, Whatcom, Island, Skagit and San Juan counties regional coordination group) Executive Board, Downtown Association of Everett Board, the Economic Alliance’s Advocacy Committee, and Sound Transit’s Leadership team.

She received her bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Washington State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University, and her Library Media Specialist Certificate from the University of Washington.
